About Highgate
What We Do
Highgate Holdings is a private investment firm that acquires and operates high-quality small businesses. We prioritize business models built on physically delivered services: skilled professionals, on-site presence, recurring demand and low AI / technology disruption risk.
We are anchored in Greater Philadelphia and active across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. A focused footprint is a structural advantage: hands-on oversight, regional pattern recognition, a local leadership pipeline and stronger deal sourcing.
We prefer control buyouts with extended owner transition periods, and are flexible on structures that include meaningful equity rollover. We hold for 8–10 years, which lets growth compound rather than forcing an exit.

What We Believe Will Win
Focused Operational Execution
We get deep in the business and the industry from day one, supported by a bench of operators who have run similar companies
Partnership-Oriented Owner Transition
We meet the owner where they are, involve the stakeholders who matter and identify a successor from within or outside the business
Clear Value Creation Approach
We identify growth initiatives during diligence, build them into the day-one operating plan and test them against what we learn inside the business
Employee Partnership
We invest in the employees who built the business, creating career growth and “ownership upside” that aligns incentives with performance
Conservative Capitalization
We capitalize conservatively to create a margin of safety and preserve flexibility for growth, then optimize the structure as the platform scales
